Terms of Service

These terms describe website use and orders from Wilkie Does It, LLC, operating as Wilkie’s Custom Works. Please review them before ordering. Project-specific scope, pricing, payment arrangements, and any service exceptions will be stated in your quote or production confirmation and discussed with you. Nothing in these terms removes rights or remedies that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

Accounts and ordering

You must be at least 18 to create an account or place an order, and authorized to act for any organization or person you represent. Give us accurate contact, billing, shipping, and project information. Protect your account credentials and notify us if you suspect unauthorized use. Adults may order items for children.

A quote request starts a conversation and does not by itself commit us to manufacture a project. Availability, feasibility, final specifications, and timing must be confirmed. If an error in a listing or estimate affects your order, we will contact you to agree on a correction or cancellation rather than increase an agreed charge without your approval.

Pricing, deposits, and payment

Payment or a deposit is required before work is completed. We normally require full payment; the amount and timing are determined for each project and stated in the quote or invoice. For unusual or experimental projects, we may agree on a deposit to cover the initial work and materials while feasibility is assessed. Paying a deposit does not guarantee that a technically uncertain project can be completed; we will explain the scope and uncertainty before proceeding.

Design/setup charges, shipping, and applicable taxes will be disclosed with the order. Additional work or a material change in scope requires an agreed price adjustment. The balance and due date follow your project’s payment agreement.

Online payment is handled through Stripe using the methods available for your invoice or checkout. We also accept agreed cash, check, or Venmo business payments. Include your invoice number when paying outside Stripe. Please do not mail cash. An outside payment is recorded after we confirm receipt; submitting a payment note alone does not settle a balance.

Design, artwork, and production confirmation

You are responsible for having permission to reproduce submitted artwork, logos, photographs, names, and other content. You grant us permission to use and adapt those materials as needed to quote, design, produce, and fulfill your project. We may decline unlawful or infringing requests.

Review proofs and production details carefully, including spelling, dates, dimensions, placement, quantities, and colors. Tell us about changes before approving production. Corrections to customer-approved details may require a new quote or additional work; this does not excuse a defect or a departure from the approved specification caused by us.

Screen colors and natural materials can vary. We will discuss tolerances or limitations relevant to your project. Tell us in advance if an exact match, special material, regulated use, or safety requirement is essential. A sign or label is not a certification that your installation meets a code or standard.

Cancellations and changes

Contact us promptly to request cancellation or a change. For a customer-requested cancellation after work has begun, completed shop time is billed at $50 per hour, and materials used or purchased specifically for the project are charged at their wholesale cost. We will provide an itemized accounting and apply payments already received. Any refundable balance will be returned; any proposed additional amount will be explained under the agreed project terms. We will account for material credits or recoveries rather than charge the same cost twice.

Before work or project-specific material purchases begin, a cancellation normally receives a full refund. If we determine that an experimental project is not feasible, we will explain the work completed, materials, and any remaining balance under the agreed scope. These cancellation charges do not override refunds or other remedies required by law for defects, our failure to perform, or shipping delays.

Returns: noncustomized products

Contact us within 30 days of receiving a noncustomized product to arrange a return. Eligible products must be returned in new, unused condition, with their original components and packaging where supplied. A 15% restocking fee applies to the returned item’s price for a change-of-mind return.

We will confirm return instructions and any return-shipping charges before you send the item. Approved refunds are issued after inspection, generally to the original payment method. A restocking fee does not apply to a return required because we supplied the wrong item or a defective product, or where prohibited by law.

Customized products: problems and remedies

Personalized or custom-made products are not eligible for change-of-mind returns. If there is a problem with our customized work, contact us within 30 days of receipt with your order number and a description or photos. We will assess the issue and choose repair or replacement at our discretion.

Occasionally, the nature of a project means repair or replacement is not available. Any such exception must identify the affected work and limitation in the production confirmation and be discussed with you before production. An internal checkbox alone is not customer acceptance. If repair or replacement is unavailable or unsuccessful, contact us to resolve the issue; refunds or other remedies required by law remain available.

The 30-day reporting request does not shorten a mandatory legal warranty or claim period. Ordinary wear, misuse, or changes made after delivery are assessed separately from defects in our work.

Shipping, pickup, and timing

We currently sell and ship within the United States. Shipping charges and fulfillment arrangements are shown at checkout or agreed in your quote. Pickup is by arrangement; our mailing address is not a promise of walk-in business hours.

Tell us your event date before ordering. Production and shipping time depend on the approved scope, required information, and payment arrangement. We will state the shipment timing applicable to your order. If we cannot ship within the promised time, we will notify you and provide the delay/cancellation and refund options required by law. Where no shipment period is stated, applicable federal timing requirements apply.

Inspect the delivery promptly and contact us about damage, missing items, or an incorrect shipment. Keep packaging and photographs when possible so we can investigate. We will help address delivery problems; these terms do not automatically shift all loss to you when a carrier receives a package.

Photographs of finished work

We may photograph finished work and post it on our social media or use it in marketing unless you opt out. Check “Please do not post photos of my project” on the quote or order form, tell us when ordering, or contact us. Please flag confidential projects or surprises before production. This does not authorize publication of billing records or contact details. We will honor removal requests on channels we control, although copies shared by others may remain.

Project-photo preferences are separate from promotional email or text consent. See our Privacy Policy for more about information handling and your choices.

Website use and third-party services

Do not misuse accounts, interfere with the website, submit malicious files, or attempt unauthorized access. We may restrict access reasonably needed to address abuse, while handling existing orders and refunds under their agreed terms and applicable law. Website content belongs to us or its respective owners; purchasing a product does not transfer rights in another party’s artwork or trademarks.

Google/Facebook sign-in, Stripe, Venmo, and other third-party services have their own terms. Website availability can be interrupted; contact us directly if an interruption affects an order.

Questions, disputes, and changes

Please contact us first about a problem so we can try to resolve it. Oregon law governs these terms to the extent permitted, without excluding mandatory protections that apply where you live. These terms do not require arbitration or waive your right to use available courts or consumer-protection processes.

We may update these terms for future transactions and will change the date above. Changes do not retroactively alter an accepted order without agreement or a legal basis.
